 Frequently asked questions

Q. Do you play private functions?

Yes! I love playing weddings, parties, etc. Please contact me to discuss costing as this can change depending on where the function is, how long you require music, and what format you would like me to perform in. I can play in many different formats, including: Solo (voice and piano, voice and guitar) Duo (2 singer, piano and guitar) Band (Heather lead vocal and bass (double bass if jazz function) and accompaniment from drums, guitar and sax/clarinet if desired).

Q. How do I contact you regarding music lessons?

Please use the website CONTACT FORM on this page to arrange music lessons and to find out rates for singing, bass and double bass lessons.

Q. Are you available to perform some of your songs at my church/Sunday school?

I would love to! Please contact me through this website to let me know where and when, and I will do my best to be there. I have a standard performance fee for events less than three hours and a day fee.

Q. Do you teach adults as well as children?

Yep! I believe that music is for enjoyment throughout the whole of life’s cycle. I love the challenge of teaching children instruments and singing as you can see it shape them more than just musically, and I also love teaching adults who are realising dreams that they have harboured since childhood. Age is no barrier when it comes to music.

Q. Where can I buy a physical copy of your albums and resource books?

Please check out the list of stockists below if you would prefer to purchase a physical CD and printed music book or email me directly (minimum $5 postage for albums posted within Australia. International postage charges calculated on request).

Q. What are your thoughts on the church in society today?

I included this FAQ as I often feel quite hesitant towards telling someone that I write Christian music. I feel that a lot of churches and people have given spirituality and religion a bad name. I have always been a part of a church that promotes acceptance of ALL people, love for all our neighbours and support of those in need (principles that I believe are the basis of most religions, but are so often overlooked or distorted). When I write music intended for church, and particularly for children, I try my best to have the song address love and acceptance of one’s self and others. This, I believe, is the true nature of “GOD”.
